Local Tier Board
What is the Local Tier Board
Each school in the trust has a small group of people who build strong links with members of the community to increase the amount of challenge trust schools receive.
The LTB is made up of the following:
- A professional from within the trust – senior leader or member of the central team.
- A parent – this post will need to be nominated and voted in.
- A member of the community.
- A trustee will sit in one of the meetings across the year to quality assure the process.
Members have 3 core functions:
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of education
- Monitor and evaluate safeguarding and health & safety within school
- Report back the local board’s evaluation to the Board of Trustees who hold school leaders to account.
Malton Primary Academy Tier Board members:
Mr Patrick Miller – Parent
Mr Tony Kingston – Member of the community
Mrs Lauren Fulford – Assistant Headteacher at Eastfield primary/Professional from within the trust.
