Firstly, a huge well done to everyone and thank you for your continued positivity and flexibility during a challenging time.
If your child will be working at home for the forseeable future, they will be leaving school with a home learning pack tomorrow (Friday 20th March). The pack has been designed to offer opportunities for your child to continue learning the knowledge and skills expected of them in the National Curriculum. I would encourage you to explore this pack with your child as they may require some support from you with this.
If your child is continuing to attend school after this week, you are not required to take any action in relation to their learning. School will continue to organise this.
Communication with myself during the UK closure of schools - Just like in school, I will continue to be here for you. In order to support you during the closure, I would like to provide you with my work e-mail address firstname.lastname@example.org. If you have any questions or concerns about your child's academic learning or progress, you are welcome to send them via e-mail to me and I will do my very best to help you. For example, my child has mastered this area and is ready for something more challenging, what should I ask them to work on?
Please note - I am not able to respond to e-mails which are not about your child's academic learning/progress or e-mails which are sent during unsociable hours. When UK schools re-open, I will no longer use this as a method of communication. I will also use the Class Armstrong blog page on the school website (the page you are reading) to communicate with you as well as the school's text message service.
I am incredibly proud of the children and staff who are working very hard at the moment in school. They are remaining high in spirits and are continuing to complete all learning.
I will be in touch to provide further updates as soon as I am able.
Please take care during this challenging period
Very best wishes, Simone Miller
