Class Teacher Update: Safeguarding Resources

Hello everyone,

Keeping children safe online:

Please click on the link provided below to access supportive activities for keeping children safe online at the moment. I usually teach this in school and so you may wish to cover this with your child at home for the time being.

Keeping young children safe in and around the home:

Unintentional injuries to children.

90% of the most serious preventable accidents to the under-fives fall into five main areas:

  1. Threats to breathing – choking, strangulation or suffocation
  2. Falls
  3. Poisoning
  4. Burns and scalds
  5. Drowning

Home learning:

Please continue to refer to Seesaw for lesson work and activities. At the start of each new week I upload activities for essential learning during this time (what your child would have been covering in school in relation to the National Curriculum) and also activities designed at keeping the childrens' spirits up. 'Sitting room assemblies' launched earlier today in Year 5. I have received some creative responses for a variety of activities from both children and parents! Do keep uploading your work to Seesaw.

To the parents behind the video camera; you are doing a wonderful job. Keep going!

Take very good care all of you,

Amy Lackenby
