Hi Class Blyton,
I hope you are all staying safe and healthy!
As a new week begins, why not think about setting yourself a new goal or challenge that you can work towards over the upcoming weeks? I know that I have just set myself a new goal that I am going to be working towards – to be able to run a 5K in less than 9 weeks!
Each week, I am going to be uploading a new challenge for you to complete, to help you with some ideas.
In class, we have been looking at Australia and I know you all really enjoyed engaging within this enquiry. So, for this week, your challenge is going to be to write a letter to somebody else in our class. I would like you to imagine that you have just visited Australia for the first time, on a family holiday, and you are going to be sending your letter back to one of your friends. As you are writing it, why not think about the famous landmarks that you have visited and how you felt when you were there?
Whilst you are continuing to engage with your home learning, it is also important to take the time out to focus on your well-being. Here are some ideas that you might want to think about. These ideas are taken from the Action for Happiness Calendar which can be found at: www.actionforhappiness.org/10-keys
- Learn something new or do something creative.
- Send a message or letter to somebody you can’t be with.
- Find positive stories in the news and share these with others.
- Notice 5 things that are beautiful in the world around you.
I shall look forward to hearing all about the challenges that you are going to be setting yourselves – please feel free to email me them on firstname.lastname@example.org.
