Goodbye and Good luck in Year 1!

Schools Out! End of term picnic in the park - 21st July from 2pm ...

Well here we are in the last week of term. I am sad that we are not all together sharing in some fun end of term activities and looking forward to a great Summer holiday before returning in September to start Year 1.

For many of you I will not see you again as I am leaving MCPS at the end of this term but hopefully we will bump into each other about town so please say hi and let me know how you are getting on. I have really enjoyed my 'short' year with you all and I have seen you all grow and flourish over the months since you started way back in September 2019.

Class Oaks' transition.

Thinking about School Transition

In a normal school year, you would be spending the next two weeks in transition in your new Year 1 class. Unfortunately, because of Covid 19 things are a little different.

Class Oaks Blast Off!

This weekend started with the launch of the new Spacex rocket which launched from Florida's Kennedy Space Centre on Saturday. It is hoped that this private space launch will be the start of a programme of investment and scientific engineering that will allow everyday people, not just astronauts, to travel in space! Wow what a thought! Would you like to try that in the future?

This week is our first week back after half term. I hope you have had a good rest and are ready to do some more learning? Take a look at this week's activities week 6 challenge sheet.

What can you see?

I thought I would share a few photos of things I have see both in my garden and on my walks. The blue tit has made a nest in the wall of my house so I can watch them fly in and out. What do you see on your walk or out of your window? Send in your photos and I try and put some on the blog. Have a good weekend. Mrs Breckon.

Photos!

I have been out and about in my local area doing my daily exercise. I hope you are keeping active as well. I am sure lots of you have been joining Joe Wicks in his morning workouts and maybe even Oti Mabuse and her dance sessions.

I took this photo of some lambs in our village a sign that nature carries on regardless of what else is happening in the world. Yesterday I watched the farmers planting their potatoes out in the fields. Just a reminder that lots of people are working hard to keep us all safe in this uncertain time. Have you taken any photos on your walks? Why not send them in for me to see.
