Help us become more active, more often.
During the last month your child has been given the opportunity to experience a different ways of using modern technology to become more physically active. We hope that the healthy activity habits encouraged in school during PE lessons and through our evolving provision for physical activity can continue when children leave school at the end of the day.
The most popular choice of physical activity from the children this term has been the use of an online platform called GoNoodle. GoNoodle pools together age-appropriate, interactive resources that enable children (and families) to engage in fun, physical activity.
GoNoodle rewards children for their participation efforts by allowing them to earn and grow characters (known as ‘Champs). Every active minute that children automatically log on the online platform contributes towards the growth of their ‘Champ’ reward.
Children across the school have been working incredibly hard in their PE lessons this term.
EYFS & KS1 children have continued to develop fundamental movement skills through a programme of physical literacy (EYFS through areas of outdoor provision) led by Miss Green. Physical literacy enables children to improve the basics of moving in a variety ways through different enviroments. Learning to be a competent mover ensures children can access more specific skills linked to sporting activities as they progress through the school.
