Such a proud teacher!

Class King I am so proud of how you have all coped with the last few weeks. After making a fantastic start on the first day of term we have all really had to dig deep and be so resilient and principled in our learning. Some of us are having to cope with the demands of working at home and missing our friends, whilst others are learning to cope with changes to teachers and routines in school. You are all such a credit to Malton Primary School in the way in which you are coping. I have loved receiving your online learning and seeing you each day for our ‘Live Lessons’. My highlights from the last couple of weeks include;

Well done Class Teresa!

Hello Class Teresa,

Firstly, I would like to say a huge well done! This first half term has been fantastic and the effort and attitude shown from each and every one of you has been truly inspiring. I am very proud to be your teacher. I hope you have had a well-deserved rest over half term and you are looking forward to the new term. In maths, we will continue our addition and subtraction work after a brilliant start. In literacy, we will be writing a character description using a beautifully written and illustrated book called ‘Lights from Cotton Rock.’ This book is connected to our new science topic, ‘electricity’. In geography, we will be looking at the local environment and the changes that have happened over time. Old pictures of Malton and the school would be a big help for this so if you have any let me know.

Just a few announcements, P.E will continue to be on a Friday and we are very keen that every child has the correct kit every week. Please refer to the letter which was sent out for guidance on the correct kit. Also, our new homework system is up and running on Seesaw and work will be uploaded on this format on Monday and will be expected to be in on Friday.
