World Music Day!

World Music Day!

On Sunday (21st June), it is the annual celebration of World Music Day! In many cities and countries, people take to the streets and parks and offer free concerts and performances in their neighbourhoods. Those of you that are in school, and part of a bubble, will be taking part in a variety of fun, musical-based activities this week to celebrate this event! For those of you engaging in Home Learning, here are a few suggestions of how you can take part in the day:

  • Watch and follow Just Dance videos on YouTube.
  • Host a performance or talent show to your friends and families.
  • Write and perform your own rap song!
  • Watch episodes of Albert's Band on YouTube and learn all about different kids of instruments.
  • Create a body percussion band and learn a new song (e.g. 'The Cup Song' by Anna Kendrick)
  • Ask someone you know what their favourite band or musician is and research them.
  • Continue listening and researching our own Musician of the Month - Frank Sinatra!

Class Blyton: Teacher Update

Hi Class Blyton,

A big well done for all of your fantastic achievements on Seesaw this week. It is wonderful to see so many of you now logged on to the Seesaw app and trying to complete as many activities as you can. This week we have been looking at famous landmarks within the United Kingdom and it has been brilliant to see how creative you have all been, designing and making your own landmarks, using different materials!

Our class TTRS battle ends tomorrow so I will be announcing the winners as soon as it finishes. For the last 2 weeks, the boys have won each battle so let’s see who will be the winners this week!

Blyton Class Update

As a new week begins, why not think about setting yourself a new goal or challenge that you can work towards over the upcoming weeks? I know that I have just set myself a new goal that I am going to be working towards – to be able to run a 5K in less than 9 weeks!
