Right and wrong

Happy New Year to all,

Already, it seems like the holiday is a distant memor and we are now full steam ahead into  our new enquiry (right and wrong), and our new literacy focus (mystery writing).

We began our term with a ‘Murder Mystery’ afternoon. It was a great success.  Thank you so much to parents who rushed around to create costumes for the event. None of the children expected to find out that Miss Sharpe’s character was the culprit!

There are a few small changes to the timetable this term. As you know, assembly is now at 3pm. In addition to this, Class Riordan are swimming on Tuesday mornings. PE Kit will not be required in school  until swimming concludes.

We are  incredibly lucky to have Mrs Ring assist us on a Friday; she hopes to work on D&T and Art with the children; there has been some super sewing work created already!

Finally, thank you to all parents who continue to ensure that your child is reading each evening. The new school books are fantastic and it’s great to see the children engaged and enthused by them. Children who do not read on an evening will be asked to ‘catch up’ the following morning.

If you have any questions, please come and see me before or after school.

Mr Hardcastle
