We landed our last Enquiry: How do we celebrate Christmas now when compared to 100 years ago? – with a bang!. Thank you to all the parents who came to watch our Carol Concert. The children worked so hard writing lyrics and melodies and the outcomes were fantastic: witty, thoughtful, inspiring and informative.
If you didn’t manage to attend – here are some pictures
As one Enquiry finishes, another soon starts. Thank you to all the children who took time to complete iTime over the Christmas Holidays. The results were phenomenal. We had videos, PowerPoint, information booklets, informative structures and many more! These all kicked off our Enquiry into: Right and Wrong.
Many of us chose to look at trophy hunting and the apartheid; Africa seemed like the best place to start! We have spent this week focusing on the countries within Africa and how they differ – some of us thought Africa was a country on it’s own and we were surprised to find out it’s actually 53 different countries!
We have each chosen a country to do a factfile on which will link to our Literacy balanced argument: Where is it best to live?
Please ensure your child is reading daily and this is being recorded in their green reading records.
Spellings should be coming home weekly in a small Orange book on a Wednesday ready for a test on a Monday. Please let me know if this is not happening for your child.
Home Learning will be handed out on a Friday and then due back in on the following Friday
P.E day has changed (again!). It is now Friday AM. Please ensure that your child has full PE kit in school each week.
