Leaders for Research in school: Miss Wilkinson and Mr Allman

Miss Wilkinson and Mr Allman lead a committed group of professionals who are passionate about reflecting on their practice and using what they learn to develop their profession. We are currently working towards the NFER Research Mark and hope to submit this for assessment at the end of this academic year.

We have several professional development meetings planned to support staff in undertaking their classroom based research this year. All staff continue to keep reflective journals and blogs detailing their thoughts about improving their own teaching.

Both Miss Wilkinson and Mr Allman continue to support Esk Valley TSA's research strand.

Reflective practice helps us to understand the links between what we do and how we might improve our effectiveness.

We believe in the power of experimentation and research. Our staff team are encouraged to reflect on their practice and research areas of their work which they want to improve. Research informs development at an individual or whole school level.
